Guidelines for authors

Two hardcopies of a manuscript in the 12 point double space print on A4 paper should be submitted. Tables, figures, and figure legends should be attached to each copy. Please mind that color figures will be printed grayscale. The first page should contain the title, author’s names (like this: Author AA1, BB Author,Jr.2, CC Author,III3, DD Author3*, where numbers in superscripts refer to current work places and asterisk denotes the author to whom correspondence should be addressed), author’s work places, summary (up to 200 words), and key words. No special format for review articles and articles on social, psychological, legal and the like aspects of the HIV/AIDS problem is stipulated.

A regular experimental report should include Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion (the latter two sections may be combined as Results and Discussion), and References. In any text, references should be denoted as numbers in square brackets in the order of their first mentioning. Reference list should be organized like this:

1. Author AA, Author BB, Jr., Author CC,III, Author DD, Author EE, Author FF, Author GG: Sample reference title. J. Clin. Invest 1989; 10:12-18

2. Author AA, BB Author, Jr., CC Author, III, DD Author, EE Author, FF Author, GG Author: Sample book title. Any City, Any Publisher, 1989, pp 12-18

3. Author AA, Author BB, Jr., Author CC, III, Author DD, Author EE, Author FF, Author GG: Sample chapter title, in Editor AA, Editor BB, Jr., Editor CC,III, Editor DD, Editor EE, Editor FF, Editor GG (eds) : Sample book title. Any City, Any Publisher, 1989, pp 12-18

The authors should mind that the journal is designed to be the means of communication between specialists representing all sorts of activities that contribute to fighting against HIV/AIDS, from molecular biology to jurisprudence, so care should be taken to make the essence of their contributions understandable to non-specialists. Therefore, extensive introductions are encouraged, and no strict limitations are imposed on paper volume (which implies that the authors are believed to be reasonable).

It is highly encouraged to supplement hard copies of manuscripts with files stored by 3-inch DOS-formatted diskettes or CD-R discs as ASCII (.*txt) or MS Word files (*.doc). Figures, too, are better supplemented with files (TIF, BMP of low compression JPG).
